Welcome to the heart and soul of Arts Alive Dance Studio – our incredible team of dedicated and talented teachers. Each one brings a unique passion, experience, and expertise, but they all share a unified commitment: to empower our students through the art of dance education.

We are profoundly grateful for the energy, dedication, and expertise they bring into every class. Our teachers do more than just teach dance steps; they inspire, mentor, and nurture, ensuring that every student feels valued, confident, and challenged.


Alicia Antequera
“Ms. Allie”
Owner/Artistic Director/ Choreographer

Ms. Allie started dancing at the age of 8 at a local church in Sanford, FL. She Continued her training in Orlando, where she trained with a travel performing arts company. She was involved in her church dance group, studio and high school dance team. Ms. Allie started choreographing at the age of 17. Her love for teaching grew when she was the leader of the children dance ministry at her church. Ms. Allie has taught and choreographed competition teams at other studios. Now she has followed her dreams in opening her own studio, Arts Alive Dance Studio.

Jalexys Ayala

Teacher/Choreographer        Tap/Jazz/Lyrical

Ms. Jalexys started dancing at 6 years old, and started training at Arts Alive at 8 years old. Trained in styles including contemporary, lyrical, tap, jazz, and ballet, Ms. Jalexys has developed a versatile performance foundation supported by years of studio and stage experience. Beyond performance, Ms. Jalexys is committed to growth, discipline, and creative collaboration, continuously refining technique and artistry.

Alexa

Mini Tap/Ballet

Miss Alexa began teaching mini’s tap in 2024! She started dancing in Deland when she was 2 and joined Arts Alive in 2020. Miss Alexa was honored to choreograph the “Battle Scene” in the 2024 Yadanza Ballet production of the Nutcracker. Miss Alexa is a junior at Deland High and will graduate from Daytona State in May of 2026 and Deland High in May 2027. She hopes to continue on at the University of Florida to become an Audiologist.
Addison
Student/Teacher/Choreographer
Tiny Tots/Mini Ballet
Miss Addison started dance at 2 and found AADS in 2020 and has loved every minute. From the second she walked in the door she new she was home! She started working with the Tiny Tots & Mini’s in 2021 and loves all her “babies.”  She loves choreographing for her little ones and had the honor of providing choreography for the Yadanza Ballet’s 2024 production of the Nutcracker.  She is currently at Deland High School, Duel Enrolled at Daytona State College and in Student Government.  She has had the best role models at Arts Alive and loves that she gets to be that for those coming after her.
