2026–2027 Competition Team Auditions

Saturday, August 15 and Sunday, August 16

This audition weekend is for dancers ages 11–18 and will be divided into the following age categories:

Juniors: Ages 11–12
Teenagers: Ages 13–15
Seniors: Ages 16–18

Dancers ages 5–10 will audition on a separate weekend. Please be on the lookout for our upcoming Mini and Petite Competition Team Audition information.

We are welcoming dancers of all experience and skill levels. Each dancer will receive an audition number, and dancers will be divided into appropriate levels at the beginning of the audition process.

Audition Fees

New dancers: $45
Returning competition dancers: $30

Saturday: Audition and Evaluation Day

On Saturday, dancers will be evaluated on technique, skill level, musicality, movement quality, performance, and their ability to pick up choreography.

Dancers will also learn several competition combinations with the teachers who work within their age category.

Sunday: Group Placement Day

On Sunday, dancers will be placed into the group dances that our teachers feel are the best fit based on their age, level, strengths, and overall development.

Dancers and parents will receive their group placements and complete competition team information that Sunday.

Before auditions, returning dancers will receive a form to help us get an accurate headcount and understand how many competition dances each family is financially comfortable committing to for the season. We will take this information into consideration when making placements.

Please keep in mind that all dancers who are part of the competition team are required to take:

Ballet
Jazz
Lyrical
Kicks and Turns

All first-time competition team dancers will initially be eligible for placement in one group dance. This allows new dancers time to adjust to the commitment, expectations, rehearsal schedule, and competition experience.
